Common questions

Which products does the EUDR cover?

The EUDR covers seven commodities — cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood — plus products derived from them (for Indonesia, this includes coffee, cocoa, natural rubber, palm oil and timber/furniture). Confirm your exact product's coverage against the regulation's Annex I.

What is the deforestation-free cut-off date?

Goods must be produced on land that was not subject to deforestation after 31 December 2020. This is general guidance, not legal advice — confirm the current requirements with your EU importer and a licensed adviser.

When does the EUDR start applying to Indonesian exporters?

As announced, the rules apply from 30 December 2026 for large operators and 30 June 2027 for micro and small enterprises. These dates have shifted before, so confirm the current timeline with the European Commission before acting.

What is a Due Diligence Statement (DDS)?

A DDS is the statement, filed by the EU operator or trader, confirming that due diligence was carried out and the goods present no more than a negligible risk of being non-compliant. It requires geolocation data, legality evidence and a risk assessment.

Is EUDR Indonesia an official authority?

No. EUDR Indonesia is an independent information and advisory hub. It is not the European Commission, not an Indonesian government body, and not a certifier. Its content is general guidance, not legal advice.
